The POAB delivers an optical digital in- and output for the SoundBlaster Audigy and Live! series sound cards. You will be able to connect your computer to digital audio devices - like MD, CD or DAT recorders - simply by an optical cable.

Connected to the SoundBlaster Audigy or Live! series sound cards the POCAB will give you an optical as well as a coaxial digital in/out. I.e. (compared to the POAB) a bigger number of digital audio devices can be connected via the POCAB.
